So, I've been in second life for about a month and a half now (time flies!), I've my own shopping complex, I've learned to build, and texture, some minor scripting, I've a handful of freinds and aquaintances, a male freind/boytoy and own a signifigant amount of my own land (no renting here!-I like control).

 This morning, I increased my land holdings to a whopping 4480 sqm (i can have 128 more) and added a adjoining lot to my store area where as of today I will be building myself a house (brick walls surrounding to match my shop). I got all but the final segment of wall surrounding it put in this morning before work at lunch time i'll put up the final stretch of wall and rez the house itself, then tweak the textures/colors and start furnishing it tonight.

I'd throw a house party after it's complete but i'm not really very good at throwing parties lol. (or attending them) But I may invite a few people over just for fun at some point. I've decided to leave the ground in the adjoining lot as grass rather than cement it in like at my store, I'll probably add some half-sunken broken up pavement peices leading out to it as if the sidewalk had crumbled into the lot and maybe put a tree somewhere if i've enough room/prim count to have a decent one.

I used to not be interested in having a house at all but with all the time i've been spending with my new freinds etc lately dropping by their houses etc and helping my boytoy cabo furnish his place, i've been itching for one of my own. plus if i get bored of it later i can use the space as more store-area XD. For now i'll be leaving the new adjoining lot seperate from my other lot so i can restrict the parcel sound (since it'll be my private home i'd prefer people not listening into my private conversations from my store). Anyone who wants to check it out once i've got the house rez'd can, if you enter from my shop lot in front, and walk towards the main store building you'll see a gap in the brick wall that runs between the bus stop and the main building, if you pass through that you'll come out on my house lot.

 Update: I used my lunch hour to finish putting up my brick wall around the perimeter of the property and rez the house. Now i just have to furnish it. I've only got 260 or so prims available so I'll have to go low-prim furniture hunting tonight. I do have my couch and chair in my absinthe building that I might re-texture to a different color and move to the house, since those prims are already counted in my total then i won't have to buy as much furniture and will still have 260 some odd prims to work with. of course if I do that I might have to put something else in their place (like a desk) in the absinthe buildin just so the area doesn't look so bare. I'd like to re-use that furniture in the house if i can because it's already pose-customized. my latest kick is buying up poses and animations and putting them in ...everything. my couch and chair have a rediculous amount of poses in them (i don't like to sit down the same way twice XD), I re-did my animation hud on my avatar yesterday and spent probably 4000 in animations for it (about 40 of them). I was going to go and buy a pre-done AO which would have been cheaper, but I couldn't find any where I liked every single pose/animation so i ended up buying invidivdual ones so I could have what I really wanted.

Oh, and if you stop by my store, the rusty metal chair next to the phone booth has been rescripted with a new pose I found yesterday. seriously.. check it out XD and if you have an AO on, turn it off or detatch it first or you won't get the full effect. *snickers* the pose is called "hearing voices" XD
