Alright, so all the skins I'd previously had up in my shop before it moved have been put up again I still have alot of wall/shelf space that needs filled and i'll work on it skin by skin for the next few weeks. Currently my stock includes the primary, demo, alternates and mega fatpacks for the following skins: Lumiere, Para, Gia, Lossa, Moss, Ego, Ion, Ikari, Akako, and Ein. (some fo the sets include shapes, eyes and facelights too). My shop can hold up to 43 skins (displaying demo, primary, alternate and mega fatpacks seperately) i've got 10 of those filled currently, 33 to go, so it may take a while. But I am adding new stuff every other day or so (if not every day) so feel free to drop by and take a look/hangout.

I also managed to create an alt account Lucille Helendale yesterday who is the physical manefestation of Reverie Square's new resident ghost 'lucy'. I spent last night getting a proper set of ao's for her, clothes, and a few dolls/teddy bears to carry around and then wandered about a bit. The message board outside my shop now has a photo and note from lucy on it which are sort of fun.

While setting up my inventory in my store I do aknowledge that my skin-setup is somewhat different from most skin shops i've visited. I've noticed the standard set up is generally 1 large image displaying the primary skin followed by lots and lots of littler pictures of however many variants there are of a skin (usually changing makeup/skintone colors) and then if applicable a demo and a fatpack.

My skins are all created on the same base, what makes them look different is the shape they're on and thier eyes and eye-makeup. My skins are set up as mentioned above to have a primary skin as it was originally intended, then a demo set, an alternates set and a mega fatpack which includes the alternates and the primary set. Where most people have a bushel full of different makeup shades that change per skin, All of my skins have the same basic 4 lip colors (candy apple, peach, pink  and nude ) and a freckle and non-freckle version of the original skin. I may eventually add a few more lip colors to all of them but for now the 4 existing lip colors pretty much run the gambit for natural/nice looking lip colors that go with practically everything.

One thing I really hate about a lot of the skins i see in second life is dark/bright lip color and overly done eyes, Real life and second life are much the same in this respect: You should emphasize lips OR eyes, never both at the same time, it just makes you look bad. (like a tramp) I choose to emphasize the eye makeup on my skins so my lip colors are tame 'safe' colors so they don't overpower. Another gripe about skins i have in sl are the overly tan, overly pale, overyly yellow or under-saturated skins. It seems these days like you either have to be a over-tanned beach bunny, a powder white goth or a mistoned ethnic person (this generally happens when somone changes the darkness/contrast on a caucasian skin to make an darker tone and don't up the saturation so the skin ends up looking like it has a greyish over-tone). Which is why all my skins are the same caucasian skin color, not too pale but pale enough to pass as either pale or regular cucasian, eventually I will be adding some skin tones in tanned/darker skintones but you can be assured I will do my best to keep from makeing the same mistakes as some of my fellow skin painters. when it comes to my color choices.

As far as my skin displays go I also chose to go the route of doing facial closeups (i mean really close up) so you can see the details on the skins, and then rather than showing every single alternate skin and naked form the same way, I created two wall charts near the door, one shows what the naked body looks like on all of my skins (they all have the same torso/legs) and the other shows the 4 different lip colors that present in all the skins so that you can see them up close and get a good look at what they look like.

In theory, you could in fact buy any shape from my store, all the alternate skins and still look like the same character but with many different make up styles so long as you didn't alternate the shape/eyes. Which is nice for those of us who don't want to look like an entirely different person every time we change our eye shadow because whomever made the skin didn't give us enough color options or whatever.

Anyway, if anyone wants to drop by the store, take a look around and let me know if you think my displays work as they are or any improvements should be made, i'd appreciate your opinions. Even if i'm not there you can leave a notecard/note on the bulliten board outside (which i check every time i login).
