This is the last you will hear about my studio, I promise. It is up and 'running', meaning that I can relax and actually do some work or go out and explore again. My beanbags are lovely... I can use them as a receptacle for all those lovely, classic textile designs I can only dream of using in RL... a bit of SL instead of RL. :) At the present they are all Maija Isola's designs. Three colour versions of 'Unikko' from 1964 (?) and the 1957 'Lehtimaja' upstairs... upramp. All available through Marimekko. The 'Unikko' still need some tweaking... Let's save the discussion about using copyrighted material shall we? At least no one else will be able to copy and use them. Strictly personal use. (Four little files... please? I'm giving you some free advertising.)
I had fun chosing and placing items from my collection around the place. As a last piece of art I decided to put up a pair of shoes by a designer I really like. The prim count suddenly doubled! lol
Had to have another serious think about why anyone would be seriously interested in bying art in SL. Found two:
1. It encourage a more constructive creativity in SL than just being an outlet for 'darker' and/or basic drives.
2. Art has the same effect on a space as a pair of shoes on an outfit - it either makes it or breakes it.
If anyone want to go and have a peak I lease Studio 4 at the Artista Artist Community on Flying Croc Chung. (Am I completely in the ravenous claws of Anshe Chung?) I was wrong in my earlier posting. I'm usually inworld around noon, not midnight. Silly me. Now with the studio done, I hope to visit all the places that has been mentioned on Second Avatar. I hope to see at least some of you in the pixels one day.
I have posted a snapshot from my 'prim area' where I put up items from my collection, pre-dates the shoes I'm afraid...
And that is the last you will hear about my studio, promise.
