In SL ones heart is not virtual

On has to wonder in this SL world how is one suppose to believe the things that are said.  Is the entire conversation the same conversation with just a different av's name inserted? Is any of based on truth?

Is everything that happens the same "deja vue" but with different faces?  What about those of use who dont portray ourselves any differently than in other so called real worlds. How do we fit in to this fake speed up role play world of SL?  How do we handle the real pain that is inflicted to us?  There is not outlet for the consequences of an SL life.  One sits silently and suffers... the pain is all very real.. see ones heart is not virtual.  Lies are still lies.. they still hurt... they are not virtual.  Lonliness is not virtual.  Losing something important to you is not virtual.  Tears that run down are not virtual.

You are suppose to just move on so fast in SL.  Time they say is different yet it seems to move so slowly to me. How does one find new places?  How does one know when it is all lies?  How does one know who to start trusting again?  How does one know if the risk is even worth?

So people retreat into their SL homes.  Perhaps shop for entertainment, go to an event where you hang in the background.. make small talk but keep your distance.

I wear a black heart in all my lives.. it is protection from the world.

A heart is a heart - virtual or not

By: Arhat Bingyi (Registered ) on 21-09-2008 03:22

RL/SL has many differences, yes.
But the emotions, the feelings, the heart involved - it is all the same between the two. There is a person behind the keyboard. And more often than not, that person's heart is NOT made of steel, so words sting. I wish more people were compassionate and kind. After all there is so much crap in RL already, why bring it into SL?
