Everyone has their fetish in-world.  Some people can't go for a day without buying a new pair of shoes, others swear that they can't wear the same dress twice, and still there are those who are hooked on skins.  With the tons of stores out there, there is definitely a market for whatever catches your fancy, and if you have a good paying job in-world, or a bountiful bank account out of world, then you can indulge your fetishes until your inventory is fat and happy, and you need to invest in one of those Inventory "Butlers".

 For me, Hair is my thing.  I love to have my hair done.  In fact, I was browsing over my inventory yesterday, and I found that I have more hair styles in my inventory than all other items combined!  Wow, that sure is a lot of hair!  So you can imagine that when I was told about Hair Fair 2008, that my ears perked up and I started to drool.  I was giddy as a little girl who just got a double scoop of strawberry ice cream!

What is the Hair Fair all about you ask?  The Hair Fair begins on the 22nd of August and runs until the 7th of September.  Hair Fair 2008 will showcase SL's hottest hair designers, all organized for you in one spot.  There will be contests, events, and discounts on your favorite styles, and styles you have never seen before.  The coolest thing about Hair Fair 2008 is that all the Designers who are participating have agreed to donate a portion of their sales from the Hair Fair to a very worthy organization called, "Locks of Love".

"Locks of Love" is a RL organization that creates hair wigs for people who do not have hair of their own due to illness, disease, or other misfortune.  My friends and I in RL grow our hair out, then chop it all off when it is long enough, just for this very purpose.  If you know someone who has been stricken with a condition that causes their hair to fall out, or who has chemotherapy and loses all their hair, then you know how important a gesture such as donating your hair to this organization is!  But if you are not willing to part with your RL hair, then the next best thing is to come out to Hair Fair 2008 and support "Locks of Love" through your in-world hair purchases from the many hair Designers that will be there.

One of the great events that will occur at the Hair Fair will be the Bandana Day which is on September 7th.  Everyone is encouraged to purchase a Bandana from the Hair Fair on this day, and wear it instead of their hair to support "Locks of Love" and to raise awareness of this worthy organization which does so much to brighten up the lives of others.  I sure will be sporting my Bandana on September 7th!  If you are interested in going to Hair Fair 2008, you can stop by your favorite hair store and click on the Hair Fair 2008 posters for more information, or stop by the Hairspray sim and check out the details there.

Hair Fair 2008 is going to be an event to remember.  I started saving up my Lindens as soon as I heard about it.  So come out to Hair Fair 2008 and support your favorite Hair Designers, meet new Hair Designers, and mingle with folks who love hair as much as you do!  I'll see you there!
